and thanks for downloading my frames! All are path objects I made with dingbats and shapes. Some are a collection of grouped paths, others but a single path.
To install (assuming you've unzipped the files to a folder of their own):
Move all the jpgs from the outer "frameworks" folder into PI's Materials folder (or your own materials folder if you have one).
Move the inner "CarolOyl's Frameworks" folder into whatever folder you use to create your personal libraries (or into the "My Library" folder in PI's Ulead Dat folder if you haven't a separate folder of your own).
Important: Be sure to leave all the Lib**.ufo files and the uol file nested together in their own separate folder!
In PI's Easy Palette, click the down arrow next to the "Library" icon then choose "Object Library Management/Import."
When the dialog box opens, navigate to the "CarolOyl's FrameWorks" folder. Inside, find CarolOyl's FrameWorks.uol, highlight it, and click "Open." This will create a new "CarolOyl's Frameworks" library.
If, instead, you'd like to add the frames to an existing library, first highlight that library in the EP, then click the down arrow icon, etc. After you've navigated to and highlighted the frames' uol file, tick "Merge file with the active Object Library" at the bottom left of the dialog box. When you click "Open" the library you had highlighted in your EP will have a new group named "FrameWorks."
To use:
Drag and drop a frame's EP thumbnail into the workspace or onto a 400x400 blank canvas. To resize the grouped paths, use the Transform Tool or choose "Format/Image Size" from the main menu.
To ungroup, other-click the frame and choose "Ungroup"--then click once on the blank canvas or hit "Enter" (or the keyboard spacebar for PI 6) to deselect all.
I made these frames just for you, so feel free to decorate or change them in any way to suit yourself. I had fun with these--I hope you'll have fun with them too!
